Vonciele Faggett was born in Los Angeles and raised in Compton, CA. She was heavily influenced by her father who was a minister and sang with various quartets and people like Sam Cooke, while Her mother played the piano in various Los Angeles Churches. She grew up surrounded by music and spent a great deal of time at rehearsals and watching her sisters sing back-up with her father.
